Have seen it over the past few months...Weird...a '66 with a '65 vin...I got to call to find out the deal

That is odd. I wonder if it is a very early production '66, on a '65 chassis? Car looks too original to have gone through major modifications.
Any other ideas?

Okay, mystery solved.
I spoke with Lee Miller, the dealer who has this car on consignment. Seems like a nice fellow.
The listed VIN in the ad is incorrect - he checked on both plates while on the phone with me, and it is 25437, which is correct for a '66 2+2. Another misprint - the engine is a YH code - 421/338hp 4BBL automatic, not an HO motor as described. He said he had used the owner's info, and would correct the ad.
