Found this on the internet today while searching for cars for sale. Looks like it was written by a real author (poet). Think I will try to contact her to find out the story.

Pontiac 2+2 Song[

15 yrs ago at a spring Carlisle show a guy was selling cassettes of car songs. I bought (then lost it) a tape with the popular "Little GTO" and other songs. including a Firebird jingle and bingo.."Go.Go, little 2+2"
I remember the opening line ....

"She's long and low,
and she is raring' to go,
that little 2+2 of mine...
yeah, yeah, little 2+2,
yeah, yeah, little 2+2

Later, I met Jim Wangers at a MapleGrove Pontiac drag show
He knew nothing about it, never heard it (I sang it for him too)
He Didn't know if a dealership somewhere composed it for their sales...

Does anybody recognize the lyrics or song? :)

Wow- two very interesting bits of 2+2 lore that I never heard of before. If anyone else can shed some light (I'd especially like to hear the song) please sound off.

Did my magic google searching and am pretty sure this is the band.. They had one albumn 1967 and the song "little 2+2" was on it. can't find the song yet to download...will keep looking...interesting bio of the group. I'm on a mission to hear that song now.

The LP is called "Let It Out (Let It All Hang Out)".
For those who can't be bothered buying it - or don't have a turntable to play it - I have downloaded a digital copy of "Little 2+2" and will be placing it on the homepage shortly - keep your eyes open for it. It's not a bad song, but I haven't been able to decipher all the lyrics in the first "listen". I'm sure I'll be playing it repeatedly, to the point of memorization.

But seriously - "Little 2+2"???
