'65 Cat on Mecum 13 Years, 7 Months ago  
A very nice looking '65 Catalina Ventura coupe went across the block this evening @ Mecum St. Charles auction. Not a 2+2, but close - 421/338HP 4-speed, a/c, pretty turquoise. Bid up to $32K but didn't meet the reserve. Pretty strong price, I thought.

The dealer has had that car on the market for $45k for the past year. Don't go by the bidding at Mecum if the car doesn't sell because Mecum can bid the car up themselves until the reserve is met.

Good point. It's a nice car, but that's a high price, based on the market.
